Ausart day 2026 Fundraiser for SNO PUBLICATIONS
As part of the 2nd Creative Australia’s AusArt Day (22 Oct) 2026, SNO Seminar will present a fundraising opportunity as well as showcasing the research aspirations behind this long running artist initiative.
Ruark Lewis, SNO curator, will look at 3 new ideas as virtual proposals for SNO Publications. The seminar will focus on how certain publications are manifested by the ideas of editors or those of artists. We will explore other strategies for SNO print projects at (Woollahra, Casula, Marrickville, and Rosebery).
SNO will be hosting an online exhibition of drawings by Australian sculptor Lyndon Dadswell (1908-1986). These works were donated by a benefactor and will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the sale of these works directly support the efforts of SNO Publications.
SNO Publications has worked in partnership with regional galleries, universities, local councils, and communities on print projects, books, and catalogues. SNO Publications engages leading designers and artists, including the great Harry Williamson (Hundred Dollar Harry), Belle Blau, and Warren Taylor. SNO Publications won the The Art Association of Australia and New Zealand (AAANZ) book award in 2018 for THOUGHTLINES, a major catalogue raisonné. This is a unique opportunity to study "the drawings for sculptures" by veteran modern artist Lyndon Dadswell (1908-86), and to support the future needs of SNO Publications by acquiring these rare works.
